Families rarely say the important things out loud. A framed poem does it for them, on a sister’s birthday, at a housewarming, or on the day a son-in-law joins the table, and then it stays on the wall long after the card has gone. This family poem wall art is written for the relationships in between the big ones as much as for the obvious ones.
What We Carry
Siblings and in-laws. Sister and Brother poems, a Sister in Law poem, and The Son I Found in You and The Daughter I Found in You for a son-in-law or daughter-in-law. Godparents. Godmother and Godfather poems, a quiet thank-you from the child they stood beside. Parents. To My Parents, a thank-you to Mom and Dad together. The people who care for us. A Caregiver poem for the one who stepped in when the family needed help.
Home. A Home Where Children Live, Home Is Where Our Story Begins, the Family Tree poem, and home blessings with tulips or golden wildflowers for a housewarming. The youngest. First Birthday prints with periwinkle or pink balloons, and For This Child We Have Prayed for a nursery.
Pieces written for one parent or one grandparent have their own collections: Mothers and Daughters, Father and Sons, and Grandparents. Start there if the gift is for Mom, Dad or Grandma.
Choosing The Right Poem
Choose on the relationship first, then the occasion. A Brother poem works for a birthday, a wedding or a send-off equally well. A Godmother poem fits a baptism, or a confirmation years later. The in-law poems are often given as wedding gifts, or on the first holiday after the wedding. The home pieces suit a housewarming or a new baby, when the family has a new place to fill.
Most designs come in two forms. One is a picture frame with an opening for a photograph you add yourself, such as the siblings on the beach as kids or the first photo of the new house. The other is a framed print with the poem on its own.
Sizes, Frames And Canvas
Framed pieces come in four frame colors: Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, and Walnut. Each has an easel back as well as a hanger, so it can stand on a shelf or a desk or hang on the wall. A few designs, such as the Caregiver poem and the House Blessing, also come as 1-inch gallery-wrapped canvas that hangs without nails or tools and comes down cleanly.
Everything is made to order, printed and finished in our family-owned shop in the USA.
