Marriage & Anniversary

An anniversary gift has a harder job than a wedding gift. The couple already has the toaster and the towels, and what is left to give is something that says the years counted. Wedding anniversary wall art does that: a poem about the marriage they have actually had, framed or on canvas, hung where both of them walk past it every morning.

What We Carry

This collection follows a marriage from the wedding day forward, and the larger half of it is about the years after.

Anniversary pieces start with the milestones. Poems mark the 25th silver, 40th ruby, 50th golden and 60th diamond anniversaries, among them Silver Threads Unbroken and Bands of Gold; the full run by year is on the Anniversary page. Love poems suit any year: Wife Friend Love, Married to an Angel, All Because Two People Fell in Love, Love Is Patient Love Is Kind, and I Love You to the Moon and Back.

The wedding itself has its own page, Marriage, for anyone shopping for the big day rather than a later one. There are vow poems such as I Promise and the Wedding Ring poem, thank-you pieces from the bride such as To My Mom on My Wedding Day and To My Parents on My Wedding Day, a Parents of the Bride frame, Father of the Bride, and keepsakes for the new in-laws and the flower girl.

Choosing For The Occasion

Decide first who the piece is from. A husband marking twenty years wants something different from grown children marking their parents’ fiftieth. Each poem here is written in one voice, so the title usually tells you whether it fits.

For a milestone, match the year; the silver, ruby, golden and diamond poems each name their own. When it is the parents’ anniversary, the children are often the ones buying, and a framed poem with a recent family photo in it tends to stay on the wall the longest.

Many designs come as a picture frame with an opening beside the poem. You add your own photograph, whether that is the wedding portrait or a newer one from the anniversary dinner, so the frame holds the couple as well as the words.

Sizes, Frames And Canvas

Framed prints come in four frame colors: Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, and Walnut. Each frame has an easel back as well as a hanger, which suits a mantel or a party table. Selected poems also come as 1-inch gallery-wrapped canvas that hangs without nails or tools, with a floating frame available as an upgrade.
