Description
This framed print pairs Judith Bond’s poem A Home Where Children Live with a row of colored pencils on a soft pale-blue background. It comes in two sizes, 4×10 and 8×8, and four frame colors — Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. As a home where children live framed print, it gives a busy parent a simple, finished way to mark this season of raising little ones.
The poem opens, “You may not find things all in place, Friend, when you enter here,” and goes on to remind every parent that “these children are on loan,” closing with a simple promise: “a loved and lived in home.” It captures the particular, fleeting years of raising young children and the truth that they pass faster than anyone expects. Many parents hang it in a family room, a nursery, or a hallway as a daily, gentle reminder. Many parents give it as a new-baby gift or a Mother’s Day keepsake, a quiet way to mark this particular season of family life.
Both sizes are printed with fade-resistant inks and finished by hand at our family-owned shop in NE Ohio, made to order so the colored pencils keep their brightness. The taller 4×10 carries the full verse in a slender panel, while the 8×8 sets it in a square, classic shape.
The 4×10 and 8×8 both stand on a shelf with the built-in easel back or hang on the wall with the included hanger, simple to set up either way. The front panel is lightweight, crystal-clear, and shatter-resistant, so it holds up well in a busy family room or a nursery. It settles just as easily on a playroom shelf or a hallway wall, wherever the family passes by most during the day.
Give this a home where children live framed print to a parent in the thick of these busy years, in the frame color that fits their room.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
