Description

This canvas reproduces a 1936 patent drawing for an early industrial method of aging whisky, printed edge to edge in two sizes – an 11×14 and a 16×20. As a whiskey aging patent canvas print it carries the sheet’s full flow diagram to a home bar, den, or office wall: a chain of tanks and coils joined by pipes with directional arrows, tracing how the young spirit moved through the system.

Figure 1 follows that flow step by step – a small condenser with a zig-zag coil feeding a heated tank, a line carrying a gas into the mix before a blower, and a tall treating chamber half filled with liquid and warmed by its own coil, draining through a valve at the bottom. From there a pipe runs to a second condenser, then to a separator tank with its own outlet, while a return line loops any leftover gas back to the blower. Figure 2 shows an alternative unit for the same job: a jacketed bundle of parallel tubes packed with granular material, fed from below and drawn off at the top. It reads as a genuine piece of process engineering rather than a themed decoration.
