Cliff Walk at Pourville Canvas Print, Claude Monet Coastal Wall Art

Description

The Cliff Walk at Pourville, Claude Monet’s 1882 view of two women crossing a grassy Normandy headland above the sea, arrives printed on gallery-wrapped canvas in 14×11 and 20×16, with a floating-frame upgrade available at either size. As a cliff walk at pourville canvas print, it comes stretched, sealed, and ready to hang, so the only decision left is size and style.

This clifftop view was painted at Pourville, a small resort on the Normandy coast near Dieppe, during the summer of 1882, and Monet signed the canvas ‘Claude Monet 82’ in the lower left corner. A pair of dark headland spurs frames the grassy bluff where two women walk, one shaded by a rust-red parasol, and far below the water carries a scatter of tiny white sails toward the horizon. Monet was a founder of Impressionism, and the loose, sunlit brushwork he used here is part of what made the style so radical when it debuted. The original hangs today in the Art Institute of Chicago and, being in the public domain, can be reproduced as gallery canvas rather than a licensed print.

Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio, printed with fade-resistant inks and gallery-wrapped over solid wood bars so the image continues around the edges with no white border. The 14×11 suits a hallway or desk wall, while the 20×16 holds a wall on its own as a statement piece, and either size settles into impressionist wall art, coastal wall decor, or a landscape wall art gallery.

Hanging strips are included in the box – press them to the wall and the canvas holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, which makes it workable in an apartment, a rental, a dorm, or an office. Choose gallery-wrapped for a clean, minimal edge, or the floating-frame upgrade for a raised border and a bit more presence on a larger wall.

Pick your size and style, and bring a piece of Impressionist history to your wall – a fitting choice for anyone who loves Monet, the French coast, or classic landscape art.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
