Luncheon of the Boating Party Canvas Print by Renoir
Price range: $29.99 through $54.99
This luncheon of the boating party canvas brings Renoir’s 1880-81 riverside gathering to your wall, printed on canvas in your choice of size.
Painted on a sunlit balcony at the Maison Fournaise in Chatou, it gathers Renoir’s friends around a table under a striped awning; his future wife Aline Charigot sits at the front with her small dog, and a man in a yellow boater leans against the railing nearby – the canvas has hung at the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. since 1923.
Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio, and it holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage.

Description
Luncheon of the Boating Party, Renoir’s 1880-81 riverside gathering, printed on gallery-wrapped canvas and available in 14×11 or 20×16, with a floating-frame canvas option for more depth on the wall. As a luncheon of the boating party canvas it arrives finished, striped awning and all, so all that is left to decide is size and style.
Renoir painted it over the summer and fall on the balcony of the Maison Fournaise, a restaurant on the Seine at Chatou where he and his friends spent their Sundays. His future wife, Aline Charigot, sits in front with her small terrier, and a man in a yellow boater leans against the railing behind her – a cast of real friends rather than hired models, which is part of why the scene feels so unposed. It has hung at the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. since 1923.
Each order is made to order in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio, printed on premium gallery-wrapped canvas with fade-resistant inks that keep the awning’s stripes and the afternoon light true. Choose the classic gallery wrap, or upgrade to the floating-frame canvas for a piece with more presence on a larger wall. Both styles are available in 14×11 and 20×16.
The canvas holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, so it hangs just as easily in a dining room or a den as it does in an apartment or a rental. It ships ready to hang, with the floating frame a simple upgrade if you want more depth on the wall.
Bring the warmth of a Renoir Sunday afternoon into your own dining room or living room with this luncheon of the boating party canvas, sized and styled the way you want it.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
