Monet Regatta at Argenteuil Canvas Print, 1872 Sailboat Wall Art

Description

This canvas reproduces Claude Monet’s Regatta at Argenteuil, painted around 1872, with four white sails crossing mirror-flat water and a red-roofed villa on the far bank. It’s printed on gallery-wrapped canvas in two sizes, 14×11 and 20×16, offered plain or upgraded to a floating frame. As a monet regatta at argenteuil canvas print it arrives finished and ready to hang, in the size and style you choose at checkout.

Monet moved to Argenteuil, a riverside boating town on the Seine just northwest of Paris, in 1871, and lived there through the years that defined early Impressionism. The town’s sailing club and its regattas gave him a subject he returned to often — sails, reflections, and the particular flat light of the river on a calm day. Up close, the canvas reads as quick, open brushwork, built to catch a fleeting moment rather than record a fixed scene, and it now hangs at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris as one of his best-known Argenteuil river views.

Each canvas is made to order and printed in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio, stretched over gallery-wrapped bars with fade-resistant inks that hold their color in direct light. It reproduces a public-domain painting, over a century old, which is exactly why a small shop like ours can offer it. Pick the classic gallery-wrapped canvas for a clean, modern edge, or the floating frame canvas for a bit more depth and shadow around the piece.

The canvas hangs with an adhesive strip already included — it holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly later without holes or wall damage, so it works as well in a rental or dorm as it does in a permanent home. Both sizes, 14×11 and 20×16, ship ready to hang, and the floating frame upgrade is worth considering if you want the wide river view to sit forward off the wall.

The wide river view fills a wall with air and light, calm enough for a bedroom and lively enough for an entryway. Pick gallery-wrapped or floating frame, and it’s made to order and on its way.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
