Merced River Yosemite Valley Canvas Print by Bierstadt
Price range: $29.99 through $54.99
This merced river yosemite valley canvas print reproduces Bierstadt’s 1866 view of the Merced River, printed on canvas in your choice of size.
Bierstadt painted it a few years after his first trip west, setting two canoes on the river below a sheer granite wall and two pale horses grazing on the bank, in the glowing, oversized light that made his Western landscapes famous and helped convince Americans who had never seen Yosemite that it was real.
Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio, and it holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage.

Description
Merced River, Yosemite Valley, Albert Bierstadt’s 1866 view of the Sierra Nevada, printed on gallery-wrapped canvas and available in 14×11 or 20×16, with a floating-frame canvas option for more depth on the wall. As a merced river yosemite valley canvas print it arrives finished, granite cliff and all, so all that is left to decide is size and style.
Bierstadt made his name painting the American West on a scale nobody else attempted, and this canvas is a quieter example of it: a sheer granite wall rising over the Merced River, two canoes drawn up on the water, and two pale horses grazing at the river’s edge. He painted it a few years after his first expedition to Yosemite Valley in 1863, at a time when most Americans had never seen the place and depended on paintings like this one to know what it looked like.
Each order is made to order in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio, printed on premium gallery-wrapped canvas with fade-resistant inks that keep Bierstadt’s light true. Choose the classic gallery wrap, or upgrade to the floating-frame canvas for a piece with more presence on a larger wall. Both styles are available in 14×11 and 20×16.
The canvas holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, so it hangs just as easily in an office or a den as it does in an apartment or a rental. It ships ready to hang, with the floating frame a simple upgrade if you want more depth on the wall.
Bring the scale of the Sierra Nevada into your own home with this merced river yosemite valley canvas print, sized and styled the way you want it.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
