Whiskey Glass Patent Canvas Print, 1939 Faceted Tumbler Design

Description

This canvas reproduces a 1939 design patent for a faceted whiskey tumbler, printed edge to edge in two sizes – an 11×14 and a 16×20 – on gallery-wrapped canvas. As a whiskey glass patent canvas print it carries the sheet’s two views to a home bar, den, or man cave wall: a front elevation of the tumbler and a bottom view of its facets.

The tumbler tapers from a wide, plain rim down to a narrower base. Its upper half is left smooth, a thin ring marks the waist, and the lower half is wrapped in three horizontal bands of rounded, pillow-shaped facets – the thumbprint style still found on rocks glasses today. The bottom view lays out the same design from below: two concentric circles for the rim and base, with roughly fourteen of those facets radiating between them around a plain center.
