Vintage Airplane Patent Canvas Print – 1930s Monoplane Blueprint Wall Art

Description

This canvas print reproduces a 1930s patent drawing for an early single-engine monoplane, printed on gallery-wrapped canvas in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20. As a vintage airplane patent canvas print it arrives ready to hang, the aged blueprint lines and hand-lettered figure numbers already in place, so the only decision left is size.

The plate reproduced here was granted in 1936 for a device that helps move an airplane’s control surfaces, and it centers on a compact, single-seat racer-style monoplane with a close-up view of the wing and aileron linkage that lets a pilot bank and turn. It reads like a page an early aviator might have kept in a personal workshop file, more engineering record than decoration, which is exactly its appeal in a den, office, or study built around vintage flight. The fine linework and aged parchment tone give it a collected, curated feel, and it settles naturally into a gallery wall of antique aviation prints without turning fussy or overly technical.

This canvas is printed and hand-finished in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, made in the USA and stretched over gallery-wrapped stretcher bars with fade-resistant inks that hold their color for years. Each one is made to order, so the aged sepia tones and fine engineering lines stay crisp instead of washing out the way a cheaper print can. It suits an aviation enthusiast, private pilot, or vintage-patent collector rounding out a den, office, or study with genuine early-flight history, and pairs naturally with other antique aircraft patent prints for a themed gallery wall.

Both sizes ship with hanging strips that hold securely without nails or tools, and remove cleanly without holes or wall damage, so it moves easily between an apartment, a rental, or a permanent home. The 11×14 suits a shelf or a narrow wall, and the 16×20 commands a room on its own. Either size is gallery-wrapped, with the image carried around the edges for a clean, finished look.

Add a genuine piece of early aviation engineering to your wall with a vintage airplane patent canvas print that looks as much at home in a study or den as it does above a desk.
