Self Digging Tank Patent Canvas Print – 1955 Military Blueprint Wall Art

Description

This canvas print reproduces the 1955 patent drawing for a self-digging military tank, printed on gallery-wrapped canvas in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20. As a self digging tank patent canvas print it arrives ready to hang, the aged blueprint lines and reference numbers already in place, so the only decision left is which size suits the wall.

The plate reproduced here shows the hull in section, roadwheels and the toothed track run drawn along the ground line, and a second figure that captures the invention’s whole idea: the same hull sunk into a hatched excavation of its own digging, with spoil thrown up around the rim. It reads like a page pulled straight from a military engineer’s design file rather than a modern illustration styled to look old, which is exactly its appeal in a den, home office, or game room built around military history. The fine linework and aged parchment tone give it a curated, collected feel, and it settles naturally into a gallery wall of army tank prints or stands alone above a desk.

This canvas is printed and hand-finished in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, made in the USA and stretched over gallery-wrapped stretcher bars with fade-resistant inks that hold their color for years. It is made to order, so the aged sepia tones and fine linework stay sharp rather than washing out the way a cheaper print can. It suits a veteran, history buff, or military patent collector rounding out a den, office, or game room, and pairs naturally with other military tank patent prints for a themed gallery wall.

Both sizes ship with hanging strips that hold securely without nails or tools, and remove cleanly without holes or wall damage, so it moves easily between an apartment, a rental, or a permanent home. The 11×14 suits a shelf or a narrow wall, and the 16×20 commands a room on its own. Either size is gallery-wrapped, with the image carried around the edges.

Bring an unusual piece of military engineering history into a den or game room with a self digging tank patent canvas print built to last, printed here in the USA and ready to hang the day it arrives.
