Mona Lisa Canvas Wall Art, Leonardo da Vinci Renaissance Print

Description

The Mona Lisa, Leonardo da Vinci’s early-1500s portrait known in Italy as La Gioconda, arrives printed on gallery-wrapped canvas in 11×14 and 16×20, with a floating-frame upgrade available at either size. As mona lisa canvas wall art, it comes stretched, sealed, and ready to hang, so the only decision left is size and style.

Leonardo painted the Mona Lisa in Florence in the early 1500s, using layers of thin glaze to build the soft, smoky sfumato shading that blurs the edges around her eyes and mouth. Her arms cross at the wrist, and a winding river with a rocky bridge fades into a hazy blue-green distance around her. Centuries of fine surface cracking, called craquelure, are visible across the paint today, a mark of the painting’s true age rather than a flaw in this reproduction. The original hangs in the Louvre in Paris, viewed by millions of visitors each year, and its enduring fame has made this one of the most recognized faces in art history.

Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio, printed with fade-resistant inks and gallery-wrapped over solid wood bars so the color continues around the edges with no white border. The 11×14 suits a study or hallway, while the 16×20 commands a living room or office wall on its own, and either size settles into Renaissance wall art, museum-style canvas prints, or a gallery wall of famous paintings.

Hanging strips are included in the box – press them to the wall and the canvas holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, which makes it workable in an apartment, a rental, a dorm, or an office. Choose gallery-wrapped for a clean, classic look, or the floating-frame upgrade for added depth on a larger wall.

Pick your size and style, and bring one of the world’s most famous portraits to your wall – a fitting choice for anyone who loves the old masters or Italian Renaissance art.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
