Description
This canvas reproduces a vintage patent for a Christmas tree ornament protector, printed in fine sepia line art on gallery-wrapped canvas in 11×14 and 16×20. As a christmas tree patent canvas print, it comes stretched, sealed, and ready to hang, so the only decision left is size.
The original plate is titled ‘Christmas Tree Ornament Protector,’ published in 1996. Figure 1 shows a fully trimmed evergreen alongside the oval protector plate the patent describes, drawn in the same fine, hand-inked linework used on official patent filings of the era. The aged parchment tone and technical detailing give the piece a curated, collector’s feel that reads as genuine vintage design history rather than a modern holiday graphic.
Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio, printed with fade-resistant inks and gallery-wrapped over solid wood bars so the sepia tone continues around the edges with no white border. The 11×14 suits a mantel or entryway, while the 16×20 anchors a living room or dining room wall on its own, and either size settles into vintage christmas decor, farmhouse christmas decor, or a gallery wall of tree wall art.
Hanging strips are included in the box – press them to the wall and the canvas holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, which makes it workable in an apartment, a rental, a dorm, or an office. The gallery-wrapped edge keeps it clean and simple, with plenty of presence during the holiday season.
Pick your size and style, and bring a genuine piece of vintage patent history to your Christmas wall decor – a fitting choice for collectors of old-fashioned holiday charm.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
Crossroads Home Decor is built around one simple idea: to Inspire, Encourage, and Connect. If you have any questions about this listing or your order, please send us a message — we’re happy to help. Thank you for supporting a small family business.
