Washboard Patent Canvas Print, 1901 Vintage Laundry Wall Art
Price range: $29.99 through $34.99
This washboard patent canvas print reproduces the original 1901 patent drawing of a corrugated scrub board with its sheet-metal soap headpiece, a fitting choice for a farmhouse laundry or country kitchen wall.
The drawing lays out the ribbed washing face, the legged side rails, and a cutaway of the curved headpiece that once directed soapy water onto the board, in the same fine technical line work as an official engineering sheet.
Made in the USA in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, it holds securely without nails or tools and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage.

Description
This canvas reproduces the original 1901 patent drawing of a corrugated washboard, showing the ribbed washing face, the legged side rails, and a cutaway of the curved sheet-metal headpiece at the top, in aged sepia tones on parchment. It comes gallery-wrapped in 11×14 or 16×20. As a washboard patent canvas print it suits a farmhouse laundry, country kitchen, or powder room wall on its own or as part of a growing gallery.
Granted in 1901, the drawing lays out a scrub board in careful detail – horizontal ribs between two legged side rails, and a curved sheet-metal headpiece designed to direct soapy water onto the rubbing surface below. It reads as honest household engineering rather than a themed farmhouse sign, the kind of detail a laundry-history buff or antique-tool collector recognizes right away. Whether the room leans farmhouse or cottage, it settles naturally above a sink, a vanity, or a row of vintage laundry finds.
Made in the USA, this canvas is printed and hand-finished in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, using fade-resistant inks on gallery-wrapped canvas built to last. Each piece is made to order, so it ships once your size and style are chosen. This vintage washboard wall art holds its own alongside other vintage decor, and it makes a fitting gift for a collector or vintage-design fan who appreciates real technical drawing over a themed farmhouse sign.
The canvas ships with adhesive strips already included, so it holds securely without nails or tools and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage – ideal for a rental, dorm, or apartment. Choose 11×14 for a spot above a vanity or sink, or step up to 16×20 to anchor a laundry or kitchen wall on its own. Either size is gallery-wrapped, with the image carried around the edges for a finished look.
A corrugated scrub board like this rarely turns up outside a patent office, and this canvas brings that honest mechanical detail to a farmhouse laundry, a country kitchen, or a collector’s gallery wall. Choose your size and style and bring it home today.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
