Description

A black-and-white photograph from the 1880s, reproduced and framed in an 8×8 size, in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black or Walnut. As a vintage tricycle photo framed print it shows a mustached man in a bowler-style hat and suit and a woman in a dark Victorian dress and hat, seated side by side on a two-seat tricycle.

The machine is not the high-wheel type most people picture. It has two tall spoked wheels side by side, with a small trailing wheel in front and one behind, and the couple sits between them on a gravel drive. An iron fence and the White House stand behind. Photographs like this record how people rode and dressed in the bicycle-era years, when cycling was new, formal and a little adventurous. Reproduced from the original, the print keeps the fine detail of the spokes, the fabric and the fence. It fits Americana wall art collections and a man cave wall art display, and it makes a quiet gift for a cyclist, a history reader or a family member who collects old photographs, whether for a birthday, Father’s Day or Christmas.

Each print is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio. The image is printed with fade-resistant inks that hold the tones of the old photograph, and the frame is finished in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black or Walnut. The black-and-white palette works with any of the four, and vintage decor or antique decor displays pick it up easily, from a study shelf to a gallery wall of period pieces.

The 8×8 stands on its built-in easel back for a tabletop or shelf, or hangs on the wall from the hanger on the back. The front is a clear, shatter-resistant panel, light enough for a narrow hallway or a reading nook. It is simple to set up wherever you want it, in a den, an office or a garage bar corner.

Choose a frame color and give a couple wall art lover or a cycling fan a piece of history they can keep on display.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.

Crossroads Home Decor is built around one simple idea: to Inspire, Encourage, and Connect. If you have any questions about this listing or your order, please send us a message — we’re happy to help. Thank you for supporting a small family business.
