Toilet Seat Patent Print, Funny Framed Bathroom Wall Art

Description

A single genuine patent drawing, framed at 11×14 in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. As a toilet seat patent print it pairs H. C. MacDonald’s 1936 filing with its own printed line, Sit, Relax and Thank God for American Ingenuity, for a bathroom print that gets read twice.

Patent No. 2,047,480 was filed May 8, 1934 and granted July 14, 1936, for a toilet seat and cover – an ordinary fixture, treated with the same formal engineering drawings as any serious invention. The panel keeps MacDonald’s name, the patent number, and both dates exactly as filed, alongside the line printed on the original sheet.

Each print is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio on aged parchment stock with fade-resistant inks. The sepia tone and fine linework fit farmhouse decor and vintage decor, and the dry humor makes it a natural gag gift or funny gift for a dad, brother, or landlord.

The frame is made for the wall, with a hanger on the back. The front panel is shatter-resistant and lightweight, so it hangs easily above a sink, in a guest bathroom, or along a powder room wall.

Pick a frame color and give a bathroom print that actually earns a laugh – a solid choice for a white elephant swap or anyone who likes their gifts a little irreverent.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.

Crossroads Home Decor is built around one simple idea: to Inspire, Encourage, and Connect. If you have any questions about this listing or your order, please send us a message — we’re happy to help. Thank you for supporting a small family business.
