Rembrandt Night Watch Canvas Print, 1642 Rijksmuseum Masterpiece
Price range: $29.99 through $54.99
This Rembrandt Night Watch canvas print reproduces the 1642 militia scene from Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum on gallery canvas, the captain’s black coat and red sash and the lieutenant’s pale gold catching the light exactly as Rembrandt painted them.
Rembrandt staged the whole company mid-step, using pooled light and shadow instead of a stiff lineup, and that dramatic staging is still the reason art historians call The Night Watch a turning point for group portraiture.
Made in the USA in our family-owned shop, it holds securely without nails or tools and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage.

Description
Rembrandt van Rijn’s 1642 militia scene, printed edge to edge on gallery canvas in 14×11 and 20×16, with a floating-frame upgrade on either size. As a rembrandt night watch canvas print it keeps the captain in his black coat and red sash, the lieutenant in pale gold, and the small girl in golden yellow exactly as they appear in the original at Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum.
Rembrandt broke from the flat, evenly lit group portraits of his day by staging the militia company as if caught mid-step, pooling light on a few figures while the rest fall into shadow around them. That dramatic use of light and motion, more than the subject itself, is why The Night Watch is still ranked among the great achievements of the Dutch Golden Age and why crowds line up to see it in Amsterdam every day. Reproduced on canvas, the same staging carries into a study, den, or entry the way it does on a museum wall.
Each canvas is made to order and made in the USA in our family-owned shop in Northeast Ohio, gallery-wrapped and printed with fade-resistant inks so the deep Baroque palette holds its color for years. Choose the classic gallery-wrapped canvas or the floating-frame upgrade for a paneled office, formal entry, or gallery wall, and this piece of Rembrandt wall art suits any room built around historical paintings and 17th century wall art.
The canvas arrives ready to hang in either style, and the included adhesive strips hold it securely without nails or tools, then remove cleanly without holes or wall damage whenever you rearrange the wall. Pick 14×11 for a hallway or 20×16 to anchor a larger room, and the floating frame adds a shadow-box edge that suits a formal setting.
Bring one of the Dutch Golden Age’s great paintings home with a Rembrandt Night Watch canvas print that keeps every figure, banner, and gleam of gold true to the original.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
