Description
Golden Tears, also known as Freya’s Tears, prints edge to edge on gallery canvas in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20, with a floating-frame upgrade available on either one. As a golden tears canvas print it arrives ready to hang, a gold-leaf symbolist portrait in the Viennese Secession style, its burnished gold ground catching light from morning to evening.
A woman is shown in gentle profile, eyes closed, with glimmering tears of gold traced down one cheek and her copper-red hair swirling into the amber background behind her. The gold-leaf technique and glowing, patterned ground place it firmly in the Art Nouveau and Vienna Secession tradition that swept early-twentieth-century Austria, prized for its warm, shifting metallic light and quiet, aching emotion. Collectors know the piece by either of its two names, Golden Tears or Freya’s Tears, and return to it for the same reason: the gold never reads the same way twice depending on the light in the room.
Each canvas is made to order and printed by our family-owned shop in Northeast Ohio on gallery-wrapped canvas, with fade-resistant inks that keep the gold and amber tones rich for years. Choose the classic gallery-wrapped edge for a clean, timeless look, or step up to the floating frame for the depth of framed canvas wall art that suits a jewel-tone or moody room.
Each canvas ships with wall strips already included, so it holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage whenever you decide to move it. The 11×14 suits a gallery wall grouping or a reading nook, while the 16×20 holds its own as a bold statement piece over a bed or sofa, and either size works as warm bedroom wall art or a striking living room accent for art lovers and collectors.
Choose a size and style below and let this glowing gold portrait settle onto your own wall.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.

Thank you goes out to the seller for working hard to find my package that was not delivered to me. Thank you so much. I really enjoy having the picture.
Nicely mounted on stretch frame. Looks fabulous .
I recently purchased the Golden Tears postercouldn’t be happier with my purchase. The poster arrived perfectly, and the print quality exceeded my expectations. The colors are vibrant, and the details are crisp and clear, capturing the beauty of Gustav Klimt’s original artwork. The poster was well-packaged and arrived promptly. I am delighted with my purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking to add a touch of artistry to their living space.
