Electric Drill Patent Canvas Print, Vintage 1917 Workshop Wall Art

Description

This canvas reproduces a 1917 patent sheet for a pistol-grip electric drill, available at 11×14 or 16×20 and finished as gallery-wrapped canvas. As an electric drill patent canvas print it shows the whole tool from the side – motor housing, chuck and bit, grip and trigger – alongside a cutaway of the switch mechanism inside the handle, all printed from the original drafting lines.

The main figure shows the complete drill from the side: a rounded, vented motor housing, a side handle at the back, and a chuck at the front holding a twisted bit. Underneath, a pistol grip with a cross-hatched panel carries the trigger inside its guard, with the power cord leaving a switch box at the base. A second view opens that switch box, showing its terminal screws, a contact bar, a pivoting lever and a coil spring. A larger cutaway takes the switch box and grip in section, tracing how the trigger pulls the lever against the spring to close the contacts as the cord enters at the back. Two small views round out the switch’s square contact block. It’s a small piece of power-tool history, drafted at a moment when this pistol-grip design was still new. Hung above a workbench, tool chest, or drafting table, it reads as authentic vintage power tool art rather than a themed novelty piece, at home in a workshop, garage, or home office.

Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio, printed with fade-resistant inks and gallery-wrapped over sturdy stretcher bars. At 16×20 it commands a wall as a genuine statement piece for a workshop or garage; at 11×14 it settles just as easily onto a smaller office or den wall, with the image wrapped around the edges for a finished, gallery-style look. It’s the kind of power drill patent canvas print a serious tool collector recognizes as a real drafting sheet, not a reprint made to look old.

Hanging is simple: the canvas comes fitted with adhesive strips, so it holds securely without nails or tools and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, whether the wall is drywall, plaster, or a rental’s fresh paint. Both the 11×14 and 16×20 sizes ship ready to hang, with a gallery-wrapped edge that suits a wall built around other garage wall art.

Choose your size and give a workshop, garage, or office a genuine piece of 1910s power-tool history, ready to hang the day it arrives.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
