A Dash for the Timber Canvas Print by Frederic Remington, 1889

Description

A Dash for the Timber, printed on gallery-wrapped canvas from Frederic Remington’s 1889 original. Available as an 14×11 or 20×16, in gallery-wrap canvas or the floating-frame style. As a dash for the timber canvas print it carries eight cowboys at full gallop, revolvers drawn, racing across open plains for the tree line, onto your wall.

Remington painted A Dash for the Timber in 1889, showing eight riders in a full gallop, revolvers drawn, racing for the cover of a distant tree line with a cloud of dust rising behind them. He signed the canvas “FREDERIC REMINGTON” in bold capitals, his standard signature on major works from this period. Remington spent the 1880s traveling the American West as an illustrator before turning to oil painting, and this chase scene remains one of his most reproduced action paintings.

Each canvas is printed and stretched to order in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio, made in the USA with fade-resistant inks that keep the dust and sunlit plains accurate. Choose the classic gallery wrap or upgrade to the floating-frame style for extra depth. The 20×16 anchors a den or office on its own, while the 14×11 works well alongside other western or Americana pieces in a gallery wall.

Both sizes hang with adhesive strips already included — press them to the wall and it holds securely without nails or tools, then removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, ideal for a den, office, or ranch house. The floating frame is a simple upgrade if you want more presence on the wall. It holds up well in a sunlit room without the color fading over time.

Add this a dash for the timber canvas print to a den, office, or living room for a bold piece of western art.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
