Description
A wartime photograph of three B-17 Flying Fortresses, printed and framed just as the formation was caught on film — red-tailed, with a black triangle-L marking and the fuselage code VE, holding position above the clouds. Framed to order in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. As a B-17 bomber wall art print it reads as genuine wartime aviation history rather than a modern graphic, right down to the P-51 Mustang riding escort in the upper corner.
The B-17 Flying Fortress was the four-engine heavy bomber that carried the Eighth Air Force’s daylight raids over occupied Europe, and a formation like this one flew at high altitude for hours at a time, exposed the whole way. The red tail and black triangle-L group marking place these three aircraft together, and the P-51 Mustang alongside them marks the point in the war when American fighters could finally escort the bombers all the way to the target and back. It’s a natural fit for a father or grandfather who served, a retiring Air Force veteran, or anyone who collects genuine wartime aviation history rather than reproduction art.
Each frame is made in the USA, made to order in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, and printed with fade-resistant inks. It’s a small, family-owned business, and every piece is hand-finished before it ships, in your choice of Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut.
The 8×8 frame stands on its own fold-out easel back or hangs on the wall with the built-in hanger, whichever suits the den, office, or garage. The front panel is a lightweight, crystal-clear insert that keeps the print protected without adding weight.
A B-17 bomber wall art print like this makes a fitting retirement gift for an Air Force veteran, a Memorial Day tribute, or a keepsake for anyone who loves classic warbirds. Order yours today.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
