Backgammon Patent Canvas Print, Vintage Game Room Study Wall Art

Description

A backgammon patent canvas print, reproducing a 1984 U.S. patent drawing for an improved backgammon board and dice. The 11×14 suits a shelf or gallery wall, and the 16×20 makes a bolder statement for a game room or den, both gallery-wrapped and ready to hang.

The drawing lays the board out in full, labeled section by section – ‘BLACK INNER BOARD,’ ‘WHITE INNER BOARD’ and ‘BAR’ – alongside the dice that came with the 1981 filing. Backgammon is one of the oldest board games still played, and this plate captures a genuine 20th-century refinement of it rather than a decorative rendering. Board games like this rarely survive with a patent record at all, which makes this plate an unusually complete look at how a familiar game was refined on paper.

Made in the USA, each canvas is made to order in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio and printed with fade-resistant inks on gallery-wrapped canvas. It suits a game room, den or study, and works as a gift for anyone who takes their board games seriously.

The classic gallery-wrapped canvas carries the image around the edges for a clean, finished look, and it hangs with adhesive strips already in the box – it holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage, so it travels well between apartments, rentals, dorms and offices. Pair the 11×14 with the 16×20 for a two-piece grouping in a game room or den, or hang either size on its own as a clean, single statement piece.

A backgammon patent canvas print like this one gives a game room a genuine piece of history instead of a novelty sign. Pick the size and the style, and it arrives ready to hang.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
