Military wall art covers two different errands. One is honouring somebody still serving or recently out. The other is remembering a war, a unit, or a person who is gone. The pieces here do both, and they are not interchangeable — it is worth knowing which one you are buying for.
What We Carry
Service poems and prayers for soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, including pieces written for the family rather than the servicemember. Historical prints from the Second World War and earlier — aircraft, ships, the photographs and documents that fixed those years in memory. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Patriotic pieces for a hallway or an entryway.
Who They Are Bought For
Boot camp and basic training graduation, deployment and homecoming, retirement after twenty years, and Veterans Day. A good many are bought by parents and spouses rather than by the servicemember, and a fair number by grown children marking a father's or grandfather's service after he has died. That last group tends to want the historical prints rather than the poems.
Where They Go
An office, a den, a hallway, a shadow-box wall beside the medals and the folded flag. The larger canvas sizes carry a wall on their own; the smaller framed sizes have a fold-out easel back as well as a hanger, so they sit on a desk or a shelf.
Sizes, Frames And Canvas
Four frame colors — Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, and Walnut — in several sizes, plus ready-to-hang canvas in gallery-wrapped and floating-frame versions. Everything is printed and finished to order in our family-owned shop here in the USA, which is not a small thing on this particular shelf.
A Note On Getting It Right
Branch matters more than people outside the family expect, and so does the difference between someone who served and someone still serving. A piece addressed to a soldier will not sit well with a marine, and a retirement print given to somebody mid-career reads as a hint. When you are unsure, the pieces written for the FAMILY of a servicemember are the safer ground — they sidestep branch and rank entirely, and they say something the servicemember-facing designs cannot.
For a piece marking somebody who has died, the historical prints and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier tend to be received better than a service prayer. A prayer for safe return is written in the present tense, and that lands wrong afterwards.
A Soldiers Honor Picture Frame with Photo Opening, Watercolor American Flag
This soldiers honor picture frame sets a bold watercolor American flag beside an opening for your own photo, with one line of black script across the bottom.
That line reads Honor, Sacrifice, Family, Country — four words for what service asks of everyone in uniform and of the family at home.
We print the artwork, you add the photo when it arrives — the 8x8 takes a 4x6 print. Made in the USA in four frame colors.
Abraham Lincoln Framed Print, Historical Portrait Wall Art Piece
This abraham lincoln framed print reproduces a bare black-and-white studio portrait of the president, framed at 8x8.
Lincoln stands three-quarter length, bearded, in a dark frock coat and a loosely tied bow tie, with a heavy studio drape at one edge - abraham lincoln portrait wall art with no caption or credit printed on the photograph itself.
Made in the USA and family-owned, it's framed to order in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut, and displays on a tabletop with the built-in easel back or hangs on the wall.
Alfred Palmer Framed Print, WWII Aircraft Factory Wall Art
This Alfred Palmer framed print captures women polishing clear aircraft nose cones on the factory floor at Douglas Aircraft in October 1942, a piece of genuine WWII home front history.
Photographed by Alfred T. Palmer for the Office of War Information, it shows the ordinary work that kept aircraft production moving at a civilian plant during the war.
Made in the USA and available in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut, this 8x8 print is simple to set up on a shelf or hang on the wall.
American Soldier Framed Print, Patriotic Army Wall Art for Veterans
This american soldier framed print reproduces a real, candid photograph of a U.S. serviceman standing ready, two belts of linked rounds crossed at his chest and an artillery shell gripped in each hand before a full-size flag.
The photograph speaks plainly for itself: an unposed record of a soldier prepared for what comes next, the kind of image that has become a keepsake for military families and collectors.
Made in the USA in our family workshop in NE Ohio, it ships with a clear front panel, wall hanger and fold-out easel back, simple to set up on a shelf or wall, in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black or Walnut.
Armored Vehicle Patent Canvas Print - 1977 Military Blueprint Art
This armored vehicle patent canvas print reproduces a 1977 design patent drawing of a six-wheeled armored car, in aged sepia tones on gallery-wrapped canvas.
The technical linework traces the vehicle's boat-shaped hull, low turret, and long gun in fine original detail, the kind of drafting that turns a wall into a small piece of military engineering history.
Made in the USA and gallery-wrapped in our family workshop in NE Ohio, it comes in 11x14 and 16x20, and hangs securely without nails or tools.
B-17 Bomber Wall Art Framed Print Of A Wartime Formation Over The Clouds
A B-17 bomber wall art framed print for anyone who loves WWII aviation history, showing three Flying Fortresses holding formation above the clouds.
A P-51 Mustang escort rides high above the formation, and the red tails with a black triangle-L mark them as part of the Eighth Air Force's daylight bombing campaign.
Made in the USA and framed to order in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut — simple to set up on a shelf or hang on the wall.
B-17 Flying Fortress Framed Print, A Vintage WWII Bomber Keepsake
This B-17 Flying Fortress framed print shows a single bomber banking alone over patchwork farmland, reproduced from a real wartime photograph.
It's reproduced from a real wartime photograph, capturing the polished silver airframe and tail markings in period-correct color — a quiet tribute to the crews who flew daylight missions over Europe.
Made in the USA in our family workshop, this 8x8 frame comes in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut, and it's simple to set up on a shelf or the wall.
B-17 Patent Canvas Print - 1935 Bomber Design Blueprint Art
This B-17 patent canvas print reproduces a 1935 design patent drawing for a four-engine bomber, in aged sepia tones on canvas.
The plate lays out four technical views of the aircraft: a full wingspan plan, a nose-on view of its four propellers, and two side elevations, the kind of detail an aviation collector keeps on a study wall.
Made in the USA and gallery-wrapped in our family workshop in NE Ohio, it comes in 11x14 and 16x20, and hangs securely without nails or tools.
Coaxial Helicopter Patent Canvas Print, High-Speed Military Rotorcraft Wall Art
This coaxial helicopter patent canvas print reproduces a patent design for a twin-rotor gunship, hand-drafted in fine line art for a den, office, or workshop wall.
The stacked rotor hubs and pusher tail propeller read like an original patent-office drawing rather than a modern reprint, the kind of piece rotorcraft collectors and aviation history buffs look for.
Made to order on gallery-wrapped canvas in our family-owned shop, it holds securely without nails or tools and removes cleanly without wall damage.
