1931 Airplane Patent Canvas Print – Open Cockpit Biplane Wall Art

Description

This canvas print reproduces a 1931 aeroplane patent drawing, printed in aged sepia tones on gallery-wrapped canvas. It comes in 14×11 or 20×16. As a 1931 airplane patent canvas print it captures a side view of a biplane in fine, hand-drafted linework – the kind of technical detail a draftsman would have set down by hand nearly a century ago.

The plate shows the aircraft from the side, its upper and lower wings joined by N-shaped struts and crossed bracing wires, a two-blade propeller mounted on the nose, and a pair of open cockpits above a fixed wheel undercarriage – the ordinary engineering of an early aeroplane, drawn the way a patent office once required: plainly, without ornament, every strut and wire accounted for. It suits anyone who likes the golden age of flight rendered in genuine technical style rather than a decorative sketch – a home office, a den built around aviation history, or a shelf of vintage patent prints where this piece rounds out the collection.

Made in the USA in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, this canvas is made to order and printed with fade-resistant inks on gallery-wrapped canvas that keeps its color for years. It reads as honest vintage aviation decor for a study or workshop, and pairs naturally with other antique aviation patent art on a themed gallery wall.

Both sizes hang with adhesive strips that hold securely without nails or tools, and remove cleanly without holes or wall damage – simple for an apartment, rental, or office wall. Choose the 14×11 for a quiet accent or step up to the 20×16 as a standalone statement piece.

Bring a piece of early aviation history to your wall with this 1931 airplane patent canvas print, ready to hang the day it arrives.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
