Large Vase with Flowers by Odilon Redon Canvas Print, Floral Still Life Wall Art

Description

A reproduction of Odilon Redon’s Large Vase with Flowers on gallery-wrapped canvas, offered in 11×14 and 16×20, each with a floating-frame option. As a large vase with flowers by Odilon Redon canvas print it keeps the soft, chalky color of the c.1912 oil, from the orange poppy and the pink roses to the cobalt glaze of the vase and the pale, mottled ground he painted around it.

Redon spent the first half of his career on dark, dreamlike charcoal drawings and lithographs he called his noirs. After about 1900 he turned almost entirely to color, and flower pieces became the work his collectors asked for most. Large Vase with Flowers is one of those late bouquets. The blooms are not so much arranged as suspended, a few drifting free of their stems, which gives the painting the quiet, floating quality his still lifes are known for. The small signature in the lower corner reads ODILON REDON, and the original oil on canvas belongs to the National Gallery of Art.

Each canvas is made to order in our family workshop in NE Ohio, printed with fade-resistant inks so the blues and corals keep their color, and gallery-wrapped by hand. Made in the USA, it works as floral wall art in a bedroom, as botanical wall art in a kitchen or breakfast nook, or as one of the softer pieces on a gallery wall of famous paintings.

Adhesive hangers come in the box, so the canvas holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage – an easy choice for a rental, a dorm or an office. The 11×14 suits a powder room, a nightstand wall or a narrow hallway; the 16×20 is tall enough to hold its own over a dresser or console table. Choose the floating frame for a slim surround that gives the canvas a finished gallery look.

For anyone who loves flowers but would rather have them painted, it is an easy piece to live with all year. Choose the size and style, and it arrives ready to hang.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
