Skateboard Patent Canvas Print, Vintage 1960s Skate Wall Art

Description

A complete 1960s skateboard – deck, two trucks and four wheels, shown in plan and in perspective on an incline – fills this canvas in aged sepia tones on parchment. It comes in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20, each as gallery-wrapped canvas. As a skateboard patent canvas print it arrives ready to hang, with the artwork already stretched and finished.

The drawing is dated 1968, filed two years earlier for a brake linkage bolted to the tail of the board, and the patent sheet draws the entire skateboard to show how the brake attaches to it. Work like this predates digital rendering, so every line of the deck, trucks and wheels was inked by hand rather than photographed. For a skater who has followed the sport since its earliest boards, or a collector chasing vintage skateboard decor and skateboard patent art, it reads as a genuine piece of the sport’s own history rather than a styled reproduction.

This canvas is made to order and printed with fade-resistant inks in our family workshop in Northeast Ohio, made in the USA and hand-finished before it ships. It sits well next to other skateboard wall art and skateboard canvas art already on a bedroom or garage wall, and holds its own for anyone building a collection around the sport rather than a modern photo print.

Both the 11×14 and 16×20 canvas hang with adhesive strips that hold securely without nails or tools and remove cleanly without holes or wall damage, so it works as well in a rental or dorm as it does in a family garage. The gallery-wrapped canvas is about 1 inch deep and ready to hang on its own.

Add this skateboard patent canvas print to a skater’s bedroom, a garage, or a fan’s growing set of vintage skateboard patent prints, and it arrives finished, ready to hang the day it’s unpacked.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.

Crossroads Home Decor is built around one simple idea: to Inspire, Encourage, and Connect. If you have any questions about this listing or your order, please send us a message — we’re happy to help. Thank you for supporting a small family business.
