Steinway Piano Frame Patent Canvas Print, 1885 Music Room Art

Description

This canvas reproduces the original 1885 patent drawing of a grand piano’s cast-iron string frame, seen from above with its curved bent rim, pin-block strip, and the web of struts that brace the tension of the strings. It comes gallery-wrapped in 11×14 or 16×20. As a steinway piano frame patent canvas print it suits a music room, a teaching studio, or a piano bar wall on its own or as part of a growing gallery.

This is the actual Steinway grand piano frame – the cast-iron plate patented in 1885 that carries a grand piano’s full string tension. The drawing shows the bent rim, the pin-block strip along the straight end, and an arched web of braces crossing the plate. It reads as honest instrument engineering rather than a themed music sign, the kind of detail a pianist, a piano teacher, or an instrument-history fan recognizes right away. Whether the room leans formal or casual, it settles naturally above a bench, a shelf of sheet music, or a hallway gallery wall.

Made in the USA, this canvas is printed and hand-finished in our family-owned shop in Northeast Ohio, using fade-resistant inks on a gallery wrap built to last. Each piece is made to order, so it ships once your size and style are chosen. This vintage piano wall art holds its own alongside other music-room keepsakes, and it makes a fitting gift for a pianist, a piano teacher, or a collector who appreciates real technical drawing over a themed music sign.

The canvas ships with adhesive strips already included, so it holds securely without nails or tools and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage – ideal for a studio, an apartment, or a rental. Choose 11×14 for a shelf above the piano, or step up to 16×20 to anchor a music room wall on its own. Either size is gallery-wrapped, with the image carried around the edges for a finished look.

A Steinway grand piano frame like this rarely turns up outside a patent office, and this canvas brings that honest engineering detail to a music room, a teaching studio, or a collector’s wall. Choose your size and style and bring it home today.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
