Toilet Paper Patent Print, The Original 1891 Invention Framed

Description

An aged-parchment print headed “The invention Everyone is Thankful For,” reproducing S. Wheeler’s 1891 toilet paper roll patent drawing, framed at 4×10 or 11×14 in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. As a toilet paper patent print it arrives framed and finished, with the full caption — patent number, date, and signatures — carried on the larger 11×14.

The print reproduces S. Wheeler’s TOILET PAPER ROLL patent, No. 465,588, patented December 22, 1891, complete with the original drawing, witness signatures, and the inventor’s own hand. That original figure is also the print’s best punchline: Wheeler’s drawing shows the sheet coming over the top, settling the debate that still starts at Thanksgiving dinner, straight from the source. The 11×14 carries the full caption block — inventor, patent number, date, and witnesses; the 4×10 keeps the headline and the drawing alone.

Each one is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio, printed on aged-parchment stock with fade-resistant inks and framed in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. It’s a natural entry in funny bathroom decor and toilet decor lists, a print a dad, brother, or landlord will actually hang, and an easy pick for a housewarming or white elephant gift. It also holds up as restroom decor in a shared office bathroom, where the joke lands with a fresh audience every week.

The 4×10 stands on a shelf with its own fold-out easel back or hangs on the wall; the 11×14 is built for the wall only, with a hanger on the back. Both use a shatter-resistant, lightweight front panel that keeps the print looking sharp above a sink, in a guest bathroom, or in a powder room.

Pick a size and a frame color for a print that earns a laugh from every guest who reads it — a fitting choice for a bathroom, powder room, or the next white elephant exchange.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.

Crossroads Home Decor is built around one simple idea: to Inspire, Encourage, and Connect. If you have any questions about this listing or your order, please send us a message — we’re happy to help. Thank you for supporting a small family business.
