Lady with a Fan Klimt Canvas Print – Gold Art Nouveau Portrait

Description

Lady with a Fan, Gustav Klimt’s 1917-18 portrait, prints edge to edge on gallery canvas in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20, with a floating-frame upgrade available on either one. As a Lady with a Fan Klimt canvas print it arrives ready to hang, the glowing gold ground and folding fan reproduced in the same warm tone Klimt used on the original, left unfinished at his death in 1918.

A dark-haired woman is shown in gentle profile, set among lotus blossoms and a phoenix rendered on a field of burnished gold — motifs drawn from the East Asian art Klimt collected and admired throughout his life. It was among the works still in his studio when he died suddenly in February 1918, one of the last portraits from a career defined by gold leaf and pattern. In 2023 it sold at Sotheby’s in London for a European auction record, and it reads as one of the most personal works of his final years, prized by collectors of the Vienna Secession for its jewel tones.

Each canvas is made to order and printed by our family-owned shop in Northeast Ohio on gallery-wrapped canvas, with fade-resistant inks that keep the gold ground rich for years. Choose the classic gallery-wrapped edge for a clean, timeless look, or step up to the floating frame for the depth of framed canvas wall art that pairs naturally with eclectic or jewel-tone rooms.

Each canvas ships with wall strips already included, so it holds securely without nails or tools, and removes cleanly without holes or wall damage whenever you decide to move it. The 11×14 suits a gallery wall grouping or a home office, while the 16×20 holds its own as a bold statement piece over a desk or bed, and either size works as warm bedroom wall art or a considered living room accent.
