Dental Excavator Patent Canvas Print, 1896 Dentist Tool Wall Art

Description

This canvas print reproduces an 1896 patent drawing for a dental excavator, a double-ended hand instrument with a hooked point at each end of a knurled handle. It comes in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20, each gallery-wrapped. As a dental excavator patent canvas print, it carries the plate exactly as the Patent Office received it, wording and all.

The two hooked points face opposite directions, so a dentist could work between two molar crowns without switching tools — the drawing even shows the instrument in use, its shank rising out of an open mouth. It is a plain, honest artifact of vintage hand dentistry before the powered tools that replaced it, and it suits a hygienist, dentist, or antique-tool collector who wants something more specific than a generic office print.

This dental excavator canvas is made to order in our family-owned Northeast Ohio workshop, printed with fade-resistant inks on gallery-wrapped canvas that finishes clean at the edge with no separate frame needed. In a practice it reads as dental desk decor beside a hygienist’s station, and it rounds out a reception area as genuine dental office wall decor for a busy front desk.

The canvas arrives ready to hang: peel-and-press wall hangers hold it securely without nails or tools and lift away later with no wall damage. The 11×14 fits a desk or narrow wall; the 16×20 commands a waiting room.

Whether it joins a set of dental-patent pieces or stands on its own, this dental excavator patent canvas print settles into a practice, clinic, or study. Pick the size and style, and it ships ready to display the day it arrives, no extra hardware to buy.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
