San Francisco Cable Car Framed Print, Powell Street Car 522 in Black and White
$27.99
This san francisco cable car framed print shows car 522 climbing a cobblestone stretch of Powell Street in a vintage black-and-white photograph, a gift for a couple who honeymooned in the city, a dad who rode the line as a boy, or a friend leaving the Bay Area.
Hotel signs, fire escapes and 1940s sedans line the hill, and the slot between the rails carries the moving cable that still pulls the cars today.
Made in the USA in our family-owned workshop in NE Ohio, in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black or Walnut, and simple to set up on a shelf with the easel back or on the wall with the hanger.

Description
A vintage street photograph from the hills above Union Square, printed and framed at 8×8. It comes in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black or Walnut with a clear front panel, a fold-out easel back and a wall hanger. As a san francisco cable car framed print it arrives finished and made to order.
Car 522 is coming up the hill past the Chancellor Hotel sign, with sedans of the 1940s parked at the curb and the street falling away behind it. San Francisco’s cable cars are not trolleys: they have no overhead wire, and each car grips a steel cable that runs in the slot under the street. They have climbed these hills since the 1870s and are now a National Historic Landmark. The photograph suits anyone with a San Francisco story, a couple who rode the Powell line on their honeymoon, parents who lived in the city before the kids came along, a son or daughter heading off to college in California, or a friend who misses home. It works as a housewarming gift, an anniversary present or a retirement gift for someone moving west.
Each frame is made to order in our family-owned workshop in Northeast Ohio and made in the USA. The photograph is printed with fade-resistant inks that hold its greys and deep shadows, and the four frame colors let it sit with farmhouse decor, a gallery wall of travel photographs or a city-themed office.
The 8×8 stands on a shelf, desk or mantel with the fold-out easel back, or hangs from the built-in hanger, and it is simple to set up either way. The clear front panel is lightweight and shatter-resistant, so it is easy to move and a safe choice for a kitchen, an entryway or a dorm room.
Pick a frame color and send a piece of old San Francisco to someone who still talks about their trip to the city.
Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
