Vintage Children Playing Framed Print – Nostalgic Summer Street Scene

$27.99

This vintage children playing framed print shows a group of barefoot children cooling off in a summer street spray, a nostalgic scene for anyone who loves classic photography.

A tall standpipe throws an umbrella of water down the block while eight children run through the spray, brick rowhouses with fire escapes and stoops framing the scene behind them – a candid slice of everyday summer joy rather than a staged photograph.

Made in the USA by our family-owned shop, this 8×8 frame comes in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut, simple to set up on a shelf with the fold-out easel back, or hang it on the wall.

Description

This vintage street photograph, printed and framed at 8×8, in four frame colors: Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. A clear front panel protects the print, and the frame sets up on a shelf with its fold-out easel back or hangs on the wall with the included hanger. As a vintage children playing framed print it brings a candid, unposed moment of summer play into a den, office, or living room without asking for much wall space.

A tall standpipe stands in the middle of the street throwing an umbrella of water into the air, and about eight barefoot children in shorts run laughing through the spray. Brick rowhouses line the block behind them, their fire escapes zigzagging up the fronts and high stoops stepping down to the sidewalk, with a baby carriage left parked at the curb. One building’s cornice is lettered FRONTENAC, the only text visible anywhere in the photograph. No year and no city can be confirmed from the image itself, so this print is offered as an undated slice of city summer rather than a caption we cannot verify.

Made to order and made in the USA, this print comes from our family-owned shop in Northeast Ohio, printed with fade-resistant inks that keep the black-and-white tones crisp for years instead of fading in direct light. The 8×8 size fits easily on a desk, a shelf, or a small wall alongside other vintage picture frames and photo frames, and works equally well in a den, an office, or a farmhouse-style living room.

The clear front panel is lightweight and shatter-resistant, keeping the photograph protected without adding bulk to the frame. This 8×8 sets up on a desk or shelf with the fold-out easel back, or hangs on the wall with the included hanger – either way works well for this size. Barnwood and Walnut read warmer for a farmhouse or cabin room, while Charcoal and Black suit a more modern office or den.

Add this vintage children playing framed print to a gallery wall of hanging picture frames, or give it as a gift to anyone who loves candid street photography and old-fashioned summer nostalgia. Choose a frame color and bring this slice of city history into a den, office, or living room today.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
