Bassoon Patent Canvas Print, 1964 Vintage Instrument Wall Art

Description

This canvas print reproduces a 1964 patent drawing for a bassoon, showing the tall jointed body, the boot joint’s dense keywork, and the curved metal crook that carries the double reed. It comes in two sizes, 11×14 and 16×20, each gallery-wrapped. As a bassoon patent canvas print, it carries the plate exactly as the Patent Office received it, wording and all.

The drawing’s focus is the bocal itself, a slender curved tube built to slide in and out so the reed’s position could be fine-tuned before a note is ever played. It reads as a genuine piece of vintage instrument engineering history rather than a generic music-note print, and for a bassoonist, band director, or orchestra member, it holds up next to a reed case, sheet music, or an instrument stand in a rehearsal or practice room.

Each canvas is made to order in our family-owned Northeast Ohio workshop, printed with fade-resistant inks on gallery-wrapped canvas that finishes clean at the edge with no separate frame required. It suits bassoon wall art in a music room, rounds out a rehearsal space as bassoon room decor, and makes a fitting music teacher gift for a band director.

Hanging is simple: peel-and-press wall hangers hold the canvas securely without nails or tools and come down again with no wall damage. The 11×14 fits a shelf or practice corner; the 16×20 anchors a band or rehearsal room.

Add this bassoon patent canvas print to a wall of vintage instrument-history pieces, or let it stand alone in a music room or den. Pick the size and style that fits the space, and it arrives ready to hang.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
