Sci Fi Creature Patent Print, Framed 1985 Design Blueprint

Description

A single genuine design patent, framed at 11×14 in Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, or Walnut. As a sci fi creature patent print it reproduces a 1985 patent for three fur-clad, hooded figures carrying spears, drawn together on one sheet.

Design patent Des. 277,215 was granted January 15, 1985, and the print reproduces the original filing exactly – three costumed figures, each hooded and armed with a spear, shown together as they were drawn for the patent office. Design patents protect the shape of a figure rather than how it works, so the sheet reads as a study in form, not mechanics.

Each print is made to order in our family-owned shop in NE Ohio on aged parchment stock with fade-resistant inks. The retro blueprint look suits a boy’s room, a den, or an office, and it makes a fun gift for a collector or any sci-fi fan who likes the design side of the genre.

The frame is made for the wall, with a hanger on the back. The front panel is shatter-resistant and lightweight, so it hangs easily in a bedroom, den, office, or hallway.

Pick a frame color and give a patent print that stands out from the usual movie poster – a genuinely different gift for a sci-fi fan who already has the posters covered.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.

Crossroads Home Decor is built around one simple idea: to Inspire, Encourage, and Connect. If you have any questions about this listing or your order, please send us a message — we’re happy to help. Thank you for supporting a small family business.
