Vitruvian Man Canvas Print by Leonardo da Vinci, Renaissance Wall Art

Description

Leonardo da Vinci’s study of the ideal human figure, printed edge to edge on gallery canvas in 11×14 and 16×20, with a floating-frame upgrade available on either size. As a vitruvian man canvas print it reproduces his own mirror-writing above and below the figure and the ruled measuring scale he charted proportion against, so the sketch arrives with every notation intact.

Leonardo da Vinci made this drawing around 1490, working out the proportions Vitruvius described for the human body by setting the figure inside a circle and a square. His own handwritten notes surround the sketch, written right to left in the mirror script he used in every notebook he kept, and the ruled scale he checked his math against is reproduced along with them. The drawing has stood for five centuries as the clearest link between art, mathematics, and the human form, and it reads as considered Renaissance wall art for a study, a physician’s office, or any room built around ideas.

Each canvas is made to order and made in the USA in our family-owned shop in Northeast Ohio, gallery-wrapped and printed with fade-resistant inks so the sepia tones stay warm rather than washing out in sunlight. Choose the classic gallery-wrapped canvas or the floating-frame upgrade for a study wall, a library shelf, or a physician’s office. Anatomy students, Renaissance collectors, and anyone who admires da Vinci’s drawings will recognize this piece of da Vinci wall art at a glance, and it hangs equally well as anatomy art in a clinic, renaissance decor in an office, or medical decor in an exam room.

The canvas arrives ready to hang in either style, and the included adhesive strips hold it securely without nails or tools, then remove cleanly without holes or wall damage whenever it’s time to move it. Both the 11×14 and the 16×20 ship in either the gallery-wrapped or floating-frame style, so the only decision left is which size fits the wall.

Bring Leonardo da Vinci’s most famous study of the human form into a study, office, or classroom with a Vitruvian Man canvas print that keeps every notation exactly as he drew it.

Every order is made and packed by hand in our family shop in Northeast Ohio. We use premium gallery-wrapped canvas, high-quality frame material and fade-resistant inks for both prints and canvas. Each frame is made to order and shipped same or next business day.
