Nurse wall art gets bought at two moments: graduation, and the point some years later when somebody wants to say thank you properly. The pieces here are written for the work rather than about it — what the shift actually asks of a person, rather than a stethoscope on a pastel background.

What We Carry

The Nurse's Prayer and a NICU Nurse's Prayer, for the ward where the stakes are hardest to talk about. Doctor's and dentist's prayers. Caregiver pieces for the people doing this at home for a parent or a spouse, without a uniform, a shift end, or anybody thanking them.

Who They Are Bought For

Nursing and medical school graduation, Nurses Week, a new practice or a first office, a retirement, and the thank-you gift a family gives after a long stay. Caregiver pieces are most often bought by one family member for another — which is a different gift entirely, and usually the harder one to get right.

Where They Go

A practice waiting room, an office, a break room, a home hallway. The smaller framed sizes have a fold-out easel back as well as a hanger, which suits a desk or a nurses' station better than a wall does.

Sizes And Frames

Four frame colors — Barnwood, Charcoal, Black, and Walnut — in several sizes, with ready-to-hang canvas for the larger pieces. Printed and finished to order in our family-owned shop in the USA on fade-resistant inks.

Choosing For The Occasion

Graduation. The prayers work better here than the humour does — somebody about to start is not yet ready to joke about it. Nurses Week and thank-you gifts. These are usually bought by a manager for a team or by a family after a hospital stay, and a framed piece for the break room reaches more people than a card does.

Retirement. After thirty years of shifts, the pieces that land are the ones about the work rather than the profession — what it costs and what it was for.

One distinction worth making: the caregiver pieces are not nurse pieces with a different word in them. They are for people doing this unpaid, at home, for somebody they love, with no shift end and no colleagues. If that is who you are buying for, choose from those rather than from the nursing designs.
